How does the process work? We begin by reviewing your current consumer reports and identifying areas that may need attention. From there, we develop a personalized strategy based on your individual profile and goals. Throughout the process, you’ll receive guidance, updates, and next steps specific to your situation.
How long does the process take? Every financial profile is different, so timelines vary. The reporting agencies generally have approximately 30–45 days to investigate a dispute, although updates may occur sooner. Some clients may require multiple rounds depending on their individual reports.
How soon will I see results? Results and timelines vary from person to person. Some clients may notice changes after their first round, while others may require additional time and follow-up. No specific outcome or score increase can be guaranteed.
What types of negative items can be addressed? Depending on the information appearing on your reports, this may include collections, charge-offs, late payments, repossessions, foreclosures, bankruptcies, inquiries, and other questionable, inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable information.
Can you guarantee deletions or a specific score increase? No. We cannot guarantee the deletion of any particular account, a specific score increase, or a particular outcome. Every consumer profile and reporting agency investigation is different.
Do I need monitoring during the process? Yes. Active three-bureau monitoring is required so we can review your reports, create letters, track updates, and determine the appropriate next steps for your profile. It’s $1 for the first 7 days then $24.50 per month.
Will my score increase? Improving the information contained within your reports may positively affect your scores, but scores are influenced by several factors, including payment history, balances, utilization, account age, account mix, and new inquiries. For that reason, specific increases cannot be guaranteed.
Can accurate negative information be removed? Accurate and verifiable information generally cannot be removed simply because it is negative. Our process focuses on reviewing reported information for potential inaccuracies, inconsistencies, incomplete information, or other concerns that may warrant further action.
Can I apply for a car, home, or new account while going through the process? You can, but opening new accounts or generating additional inquiries may affect your overall profile. If you are preparing for a major purchase, we recommend discussing your goals with us so your strategy can be considered accordingly.
Should I continue paying my current accounts? Yes. You should continue making payments on your open accounts as agreed. Our services do not replace your responsibility to maintain your current financial obligations.
What do I need to get started? Requirements depend on the service selected, but you may be asked to provide identification, proof of address, access to your three bureau monitoring, completed onboarding documents, and any relevant correspondence you have received.
What happens after a dispute is submitted? The reporting agencies or data furnishers will review the information and conduct their investigation. During this period, you may receive emails, letters, notifications, or updates to your reports. Please keep all correspondence you receive.
What should I do with letters or emails I receive? Keep everything. If you are an active client, upload or send any relevant correspondence through the designated client communication method so it can be reviewed and used to determine your next steps.
Why did one bureau update before the others? Each reporting agency operates independently and may complete its investigation at a different time. It is normal for one report to update before the others.
Why did my score go up or down during the process? Score fluctuations are normal. Scores can change when balances update, accounts are added or removed, utilization changes, inquiries occur, or information on your reports is updated.
Can an item come back after it has been removed? In certain circumstances, information may be reinserted if it is later verified and meets applicable reporting requirements. If you notice something has returned, contact us so the updated reporting can be reviewed.
Can you help if I’m trying to buy a home or vehicle? Yes. If homeownership or a vehicle purchase is your goal, we can review your current profile and help you understand areas that may need attention. Approval decisions are ultimately made by the lender or financing institution.
Is my information kept confidential? Yes. Protecting our clients’ personal and financial information is a priority. Information provided to Infinite Financial Services is used only as necessary to provide the services requested and is handled in accordance with our privacy practices.
Can I do this myself? Yes. Consumers have the right to review and dispute information on their own. Our services are designed for individuals who prefer professional assistance, organization, education, and a personalized strategy throughout the process.
